“All pretty girls are right-wingers”

So, CPAC happened this past week. It’s pretty much a club meeting for Republicans where some people speak and they hand out awards with names like the “Ronald Regan Award” and “Defender of the Constitution Award.” They also have a straw poll, which Romney won. A point to note, Ron Paul won the past two years.

Ann Coulter got to speak, and she was typical Ann Coulter. I think that Coulter is extremely smart and pretty funny most of the time. Below are some of the quotes from her CPAC speech. I don’t necessarily agree with them, I just wanted to show you what kind of stuff happens at CPAC.  She greeted the audience with, “Greetings 1%, welcome to occupy the Marriot.” That was funny.

  •  “Americans do not like Obamacare she said, “it is the one thing Americans have agreed on this much since OJ killed Nicole.”
  • “I think all real females are right-wingers, and I can tell you that based on experience — and my bodyguard will back me up on this — all pretty girls are right-wingers.”
  • “Obama’s campaign slogan of “hope” and “change” beat out his other option: I’m going to raise the budget debt by $4 trillion and not create a single job.”

You can watch the entire speech here, it is pretty entertaining. http://cpac2012.conservative.org/ann-coulter-democrats-are-like-your-degenerate-brother-in-law/1006/

She did bring up a very good point though. Coulter talked about Rockefeller Republicans, which is the name given to moderate right-centered Republicans, like Nelson Rockefeller. She talks about how the Republican pretty much has killed them all off, and that we truly have four conservative candidates. Though she still believes that Romney is still the most conservative, it is just a few degrees between all of them. McCain was considered a Rockefeller Republican, and we saw how that turned out. We will see this year if a true conservative can do any better against Obama.
